On May 15, 2009, International Day of Families, Parents Forum hosted a discussion on “What parents need to succeed.” The panel, led by Bonny Carroll, a long-time parenting educator in Somerville, includes Richard Harding, Director of the Men of Color Health Initiative in Cambridge, Bob Wojcik, President of Children of Incarcerated Parents, Selvin Chambers, Executive Director of Elizabeth Peabody House in Somerville and Kim Hunt, President of Massachusetts PTA.
The panel was organized by Eve Sullivan, Parents Forum founder, to mark the 15th annual International Day of Families, so designated by the United Nations since the International Year of the Family in 1994.
